well every few day my option for the tool bar change to hiding and by desktop back group changes back to the original… i have a asus laptop …. could i have a virus? or something else wrong with my laptop

i continue to get sexurity warnings for my computer saying that all these files are infected. did a full scan with mcafee, and it said there was one problem and it got resolved. but im still getting the pop ups saying “application cannot be executed “file name as in wuauclt.exe or trustedinstaller is infected. do you want to activate antivirus software now?” did a little research and the directions are to go into my task manager or to download a new software..but the virus wont let me do either, every time i try it pops up again and shuts it down. it also has made my adobe flashplayer stop working. it says it crashed. just lovely. i got this computer not even 1 month ago. its a windows 7 if that helps. i hope someone can help me!

I am running my pc in safe mode with networking right now and I’ve run Avast! antivirus which detected some 48 infected files after I was hit hard by a nasty *** virus last night. It was able to quarantine most of the files, however some critical things such as explorer.exe can not be repaired/removed/anything because it is a system file. If I start windows normally instead of in safe mode all that happens is it boots up to a black screen with a cursor.. I can open task manager and attempt to manually start explorer.exe but it gives me an error message saying the file can not be initiated because it is infected by a virus. I have been moping my way around google trying to find a solution to this problem but so far all I’ve found out is that simply replacing the explorer.exe file usually doesn’t fix the problem because the virus will still be there. What will happen if I do a fresh install of windows? Will it delete all of my files on my hard drives such as games/movies/music/pictures etc? Or does it just fresh install windows and leave everything else in place? I can’t remember which it is because when I know when I built the pc it had to format the hard drives before they could be used but I can’t remember if that’s just because they were new or because that’s what it has to do when installing windows… I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

There is a multiple accounts holder syndicate on Yahoo Answers who are trying to spread a viruses. They are doing this through links that they post on answers under guise of a claim to be able to cure certain illnesses like cancer etc! My sister followed one of their links on my PC & now my AVG is reporting I have a virus & also hidden extension. exe Here is one of the Yahoo accounts,what are your thoughts on the subject? davehttp://answers.yahoo.com/my/profile;_ylt… What can be done about this to protect Yahoo users? Also could someone help us with getting rid of the virus that we probably got whilst my sister was using one of their sites? Much appreciated

• trojan horse generic 18 alert hoax

an .exe file had a trojan…..avira detected it and asked do i want to quarantine it or not………………..I allowed quarantining it. But the problem is that the .exe file is now not accessible by me and i need the .exe file. Is it not possible for antivirus programs to clean the virus out of the .exe file and let me use the .exe file ??
