First of all, I DO NOT VIOLATE COPYRIGHT NORMS. I only download items which are freeware. I abide law. Does adding a tracker to the torrent being downloaded make it faster? Are there any other ways to make the torrent download faster by adding peers or seeds or something like that?

Help getting rid of “XP Smart Security?”?
I have a Microsoft computer but have been using McAfee software for all of my security and virus scanning.
Today I opened up utorrent to look for music to download (shame on me, I didn’t download anything today, and deleted utorrent after this happened) which I have done before and never gave me problems. Since I opened it, “XP Smart Security” has been open and I cannot close it. Every time I open a new website a banner pops up from XP saying this website is a Privacy Alert, Stealth intrusion, or that the website is downloading malware and spyware onto my computer.
I scanned my computer with McAfee after this and McAfee says nothing is wrong, but I cannot close or delete XP Smart Security and it is continually popping up. It wants me to renew my account there- I’m not sure if it’s a phishing virus or if it is a legit virus protection program, but either way I just want it gone!
I have restarted my computer several times and XP Smart Security now automatically starts with my computer.
Has anyone else had this problem? How do you get rid of it or delete it?
