Handle version 3.42 is a freeware from Microsoft that lets you know which programs has a directory open or particular file. Handle 3.42 allows you to to see open handles of any process in the computer system. However if user does not specify any command-line parameters the program will list the values of all the handles that refer to open files as well as the file names. In order to modify this behavior several parameters are needed.

Handle 3.42 divides the output into sections for each process it is printing information for whenever the freeware not in the search mode.You can see the list of handle values beneath the process name, as well as the name of the object (if it has one) plus the type of the object the handle is associated with.
